Where Ross and Rachel really on a break? If you know, you know. For a F.R.I.E.N.D.S lover, we know the breeaaak went on forever and we couldn't hear the end of that story. But were loving it anyway. Why am I suddenly talking about this series.STORYTELLING.Why are we told to story tell online? What is storytelling anyway? When I heard this for the first time, I literally thought story books, novels and all the movies and series I've been obsessed with (if you're a vampire dairies, One tree hill, Friends Season 8 and How I met your Mother fan, raise your hand, we need a private meeting ASAP).And then I started to read more and found out that I'm not so wrong as the writers of these binge worthy shows are great story tellers. We are given a story line, Ross and Rachel, with great hope as to how they should be together but then they face hurdles which they have to over come (like that time they were on a break.. LOL) but eventually, they are our heroes and they find a way to be together even with all the struggles.(Remember when Rachel got off the plane and didn't take the Paris Job... Yeah you now know I was obsessed). Now you can do this for your own brand. It might not be a love story that you are sharing but you have to let us into your world so we understand why you do what you do and who you do it for.Remember your audience is the hero of your brand story, its the only way we'll care.Add some snippets of your struggles, highs and lows and trust me, we'll get hooked.See more in the carousel below and start working on your brand story today.#PersonalBranding #Storytelling #LinkedInTips #Authenticity #BrandBuilding

You have to understand that we sell to emotional beings.Bonus; People don't want to be sold to and certainly, no wants to see you show off your success. That's where effective stories come in.Move people from A -Z Take them through a wave of emotional highs and lows and then give them a call to Action e.gI have been accepted for my 3rd full scholarship ( without praying and spraying)Its not been an easy Journey.2013 Rejected2014 Rejected2015 RejectedI was frustrated. Absolutely love this post! šŸ™Œ Storytelling is such a powerful tool for connecting with your audience on a deeper level. Just like Ross and Rachel's rollercoaster relationship kept us hooked, a well-crafted brand story can captivate and engage your audience. It's all about making your audience the hero and sharing the authentic highs and lows that make your journey relatable. Thanks for the reminder to weave storytelling into our branding efforts!

This is exactly why storytelling is so powerful for brands. It lets you show your audience who you are, what you stand for, and why they should care.Love the idea of including your brand's struggles and triumphs. People love to root for the underdog, and showing your journey makes you more relatable. Aya bas šŸš€šŸš€šŸš€

Zuria , Love the point about the audience being the hero. So often, brands focus solely on themselves. Shifting the perspective to how your product or service helps the customer overcome their challenges is a powerful storytelling tool.

šŸšØ Early Morning DramaIt's not even 9 AM, and my toddler has already taken two baths and decided to 'clean' her bed by pouring water all over it. Talk about a wild start to the day!So Yes this means more laundry today including a mattress. (LOL)šŸ”“Yep, you read that rightā€”she washed her own bed! Welcome to mommy life. Our day kicked off before 6 AM. She woke up early, full of energy and ready to take on the world (and her bed). I prayed and went to meditate. We now know that Mommy needs her quiet time when meditating so sheā€™s learned to respect that.šŸ”“I asked her to go back to bed and made some promises I knew I wouldnā€™t keep. After meditation, I found her with a big smile and a very soggy mattress.I guess this was pay back for the empty promises I'd just made earlier.ā€œMommy, I clean my bed!ā€ she proudly announced. In her mind, she was being super helpful. In mine, I was already thinking about the work I'd have to do just to get that mattress dry.Sheā€™s a handful, but sheā€™s my handful. šŸ”“These moments remind me of the chaos and joy of motherhood. Itā€™s messy, but itā€™s real.šŸ”“And regarding personal branding, these moments also remind me of the beauty in our unique journeys. Just like my daughterā€™s well-meaning mess, our career paths arenā€™t perfect. Itā€™s these real, imperfect moments that make us relatable.šŸ”“Building a strong personal brand is about sharing these authentic stories. Whether youā€™re a busy professional or a parent juggling it all, your story sets you apart. Show the real you, messy moments and all.So here I am, sharing my lazy Sunday morning with you, hoping it brings a smile and reminds you to embrace your journey.Any fun or crazy Sunday stories to share? Someone asked Why Village Legend? This all started last week, 22nd June 2024, ( A special day, check my post on that day).I had this thought to celebrate not only me, and the people who have impacted my life so much but others who have impacted and made a huge difference in othersā€™ lives.I think of a village like this community so for me, these are our village heroes, the people who actually make a difference, however small. So Village Legend instantly made sense. This week we celebrate, Victoria Nyanzi, MCIPR, DipCIPR. šŸšØ I Was Attacked Yesterday... šŸšØšŸ”“ Yesterday was rough. I wasnā€™t attacked by robbers or thieves, but by my own mind. It felt like a thunder storm brewing inside me, and Iā€™m still feeling the side effects.šŸ”“ If youā€™ve followed my journey, you know I had a serious health condition that forced me to quit being a lawyer. A doctor once told me I might die in a few years. Imagine living with that hanging over your head, like a ticking time bomb. I've lived with a gun to my head waiting for a trigger to be pulled. And this obviously left a lot of damage. This led to immense anxiety and panic attacks from a condition called hypochondria.šŸ”“ Hypochondria is when you imagine you are sick when you are not and you actually become sick and really sick when you are not sick. (YES it must be confusing but its something like that).Over the years, Iā€™ve learned to control it with meditation, journaling, and exercise. But every so often, it hits me hard.šŸ”“ Yesterday, out of nowhere, I was hit with an anxiety attack. It felt like my chest was tightening, like a balloon was clogging my airways. I couldnā€™t breathe. These episodes can last hours or even days, making it impossible to function.šŸ”“ Today, Iā€™m taking it sloooow. No stress, no work, just a calm day listening to the Quran, which helps me stay grounded. I had to cancel my meetings yesterday and today. To my clients, Iā€™m so sorry, and I appreciate your understanding.šŸ”“ Iā€™m sharing this because we often hide our struggles. Itā€™s okay to slow down and take care of yourself. If youā€™ve ever felt overwhelmed by your own mind or faced similar challenges, know youā€™re not alone. If youā€™d like, be sure to share your coping strategies with me, and Iā€™ll share mine. Letā€™s build a supportive community.šŸ”“ Quick question: How do you manage stress and anxiety? Drop your thoughts in the comments. Iā€™d love to hear from you and learn from your experiences.Happy Friday šŸ˜Š#PersonalJourney #AnxietyAwareness #20DayLinkedInChallengeWithHaoma #PersonalBranding #DigitalMarketing

šŸ”“Quick question: Do you feel like your profile represents you well on LinkedIn? If not, let's change that together.Meanwhile, Weā€™ve just hit 1.5k followers and Iā€™m so grateful.šŸ”“ A quick reintroduction for the new faces is in order. Iā€™m Zuria, a former lawyer turned Personal Branding Coach. I help professionals build strong online brands that get them noticed and paid. Oh, and Iā€™m also a mom of three amazing girls who keep me on my toes!Ever find yourself scrolling LinkedIn at 2 AM, feeling invisible? Yep, that was me. But Iā€™m figuring out how to stand out, and sharing all that Iā€™m learning to help you do the same.šŸ”“ I recently joined Haoma Worgwu's 20-Day LinkedIn Growth Program, and itā€™s amazing. Hereā€™s a sneak peek at what Iā€™ve learned that youā€™ll need to do: Glow up your profile.šŸ“Œ Your Profile Banner: Think of this as your digital billboard. It should say exactly who you help and what you do. Itā€™s like a mini introduction at a glance.šŸ“Œ Your Headline: This is your power statement. Mine went from ā€œformer lawyerā€ to ā€œPersonal Branding Coach | Helping Professionals Stand Out on LinkedIn.ā€ Itā€™s your elevator pitch so make it count!šŸ“Œ About Section: This is where you share your story. I talked about my journey from law to marketing to personal branding, my love for helping others, and a bit about my life as a mom. Let people see the real you.šŸ“Œ Featured Section: Highlight posts that showcase your best work. Iā€™m adding my most popular posts that I donā€™t want to get lost on my page. Itā€™s like having a portfolio right on your profile.šŸ“Œ Experience Section: Donā€™t just list jobs: show your impact. Update yours to highlight achievements and projects that made a difference. Itā€™s about showing what youā€™ve done and what you can do.Use these to transform your profile and letā€™s start to get some more eyes on you.šŸ”“ Iā€™m sharing all the juicy details from this challenge, with Haoma Worgwu so turn on post notifications to stay in the loop.šŸ”“ Before you go, do you feel like your profile represents you well on LinkedIn? Drop your thoughts in the comments. Iā€™d love to hear from you!#20DayLinkedInChallengeWithHaoma #PersonalBranding #DigitalMarketing

Crazy Beautiful Experience.Yes It was.I recently had the pleasure of speaking at the Uganda Muslim Youth Development Forum, where I shared some key insights on personal branding with a fantastic group of young people. Here are some highlights focusing on the 3Cs of personal branding: Clarity, Consistency, and Connection.šŸ”ŗ1. ClarityThis is knowing who you are and what you stand for. Think about your strengths, values, and what makes you unique. When you have a clear idea of these, itā€™s easier to communicate your brand to others. If youā€™re passionate about mental health advocacy, make that your focus. Share your journey, the skills youā€™ve developed, and the goals youā€™re working towards. This clarity will help others understand what you bring to the table.šŸ”ŗ2. ConsistencyNow this isn't only about how often you post. It also means keeping your message and image the same across all your platforms. Whenever youā€™re sharing content on other social media, your brand should look and feel the same.If youā€™re all about professional growth, share tips, articles, and personal stories that reflect this. Use the same profile picture and bio across your profiles. This consistency helps people recognize and trust your brand.šŸ”ŗ3. ConnectionYou want to build strong relationships so you have your brand spoken about in relevant spaces even in your absence.Engage with your audience, comment and give value on other peopleā€™s posts. Respond to comments, and be active in your community. Itā€™s not just about talking, you have to listen and interact as well.Join groups related to your field, comment on posts, and share your thoughts. When you connect with others, you build a network of support and influence. This will open doors to new opportunities and collaborations. If you're ready to glow up your LinkedIn profile and build a strong personal brand, I'd love to connect with you. Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences in the comments. Letā€™s grow together!Happy week#PersonalBranding #LinkedInGrowth #20dayswithhaomaworgwu

Ever feel like youā€™re stuck in a never-ending loop of the same old workday, dreaming of something different but feeling like itā€™s out of reach? Yeah, me too.Picture this: I was a lawyer, knee-deep in legal jargon and case files. Then life threw me a curveballā€”I had to switch gears completely. I became a digital marketer and personal branding coach. Sounds crazy, right? Hereā€™s what Iā€™ve learned on this rollercoaster ride:ā• Embrace Change: Imagine jumping into a freezing pool.Thatā€™s what switching from law to the digital world felt like.It was shocking, and sometimes I wanted to jump right back out.But embracing that change opened up new, exciting opportunities and helped me find my real passion (Personal Branding).ā• Be Authentic: Think of your favorite cozy sweaterā€”the one that feels just right. Thatā€™s what authenticity is for your personal brand. Now think of the last time you met someone who pretended to be perfect. Boring, right? How about someone who shares their real struggles, like the time I was giving a presentation and my toddler decided to have a meltdown in the background. People love and connect with those real, messy moments.ā• Keep Learning: Ever tried to pour more water into a full cup? It just spills everywhere. To keep growing, you have to empty your cup and make room for new knowledge.Keep learning about your industry and sharing those lessons. It keeps you valuable and interesting.ā• Build Relationships: Remember the joy of finding a new friend on the playground?Networking can be like that. Actively look for and build meaningful connections in your field. These relationships can lead to amazing collaborations, mentorships, and growth opportunities.ā• Balance is Key: Ever tried balancing a bottle of water on your head while walking? (Yes, this is a normal thing in my house LOL).Thatā€™s what balancing work and personal life can feel like, especially as a mom.Finding a rhythm that works for you and setting boundaries is essential. My daily meditation is my balance beam.Whoa , thatā€™s 5 lessons but I got 1 more for you.ā• Resilience is Power: Life is like a game of dodgeballā€”youā€™re going to get hit.Resilience is what helps you get back up and keep playing. My illness was a huge dodgeball to the face, but it taught me the importance of bouncing back and not giving up.I hope these lessons inspire you to embrace your journey, build your personal brand, and create a career that makes you happy and fulfilled. What stands out for you in these lessons?#PersonalBranding #CareerJourney #LinkedInCoach #LifeLessons
