  Wonderful people, wonderful office staff and office manager. Wonderful building that islocated inpleasant SWTopeka. Been going here since 2007. Truly compassionate and caring people. Ethical aswell. Iwent for one appointment with acounselor atanother mental health office inTopeka and they did abusive billing practices and only cared about getting paid. The staff atNew Beginnings truly care.

  Overpriced and horrible service. Icalled tolet them know Iwould be15minutes late, and asked ifthat was okay. Iwas told itwas fine. Igot there 12minutes past the appointment time and was told Iwas still charged and would have toreschedule. Their policy isto only wait 10minutes. Iasked why Iwasn’t told that when Icalled and all she could say was “it’s policy”. Maybe make sure your staff knows your policies before they tell people incorrect information. Iurge people togo somewhere else for mental health care because this place isobviously more concerned with their money than they are helping people.… – show

  Angela atNew Beginnings iswonderful. The new receptionist Jordan iswonderfultoo. Very welcoming place. Iused tosee asocial worker Ken there for fourteen years. Heretired but hewas the best counselor Ihave ever beento. Iam awriter and amental health advocate sochoosing agood place isimportant tome. There isa lot ofstigma out there but Iam out tochange that. Dawn the office manager isthe best one wehave everhad. She iseager tohelp people feel like New Beginningsis there tohelp and make people feel welcome and caredfor.… – show

  Used tohave anexcellent staff and great support. Now there isno communication and new counseling isjust alright. Time for achange. Sucks after 10years ofhelp. I’d look elsewhere. Lots ofturnover

  Was ingreat need ofGOOD Therpist and psychiatrist tomonitor medications. Had sent myyoungest son toNew Beginnings soonly made sense Igo there aswell. Ihave anamazing therapist, first one Ihave ever had ofthe many therapists Ihave been towith nosuccess and seemed tohave little care inmy issues orto get towhat the real issues were. Iam sofortunate tohave this atNew Beginnings! Mytherapist honestly cares, most ofall believes what Ihave tosay and doesn’t think I’m makingthings upand most importantly shows genuine care and remorse for myissues ofgeneralized anxiety, Major Depression Disorder Recurrent, ADHD, PTSD toname afew. Ifeel Iam actually starting toget ahandle onsome things. Ifyou need excellent care you will get ithere from many ofthe therapists.… – show

  These people couldn’t tell meif they were excepting new patients they told methat Iwould need togo online and fill out all the forms and then they would take our information and the therapists would then decide whether they would seeme. This isthe most backwards office. Why would Igo through the process offilling out all ofthe information insurance and otherwise ifthey are not excepting new patients. They told methat they decide which patients they see ona case bycase basis. Soareyou inmental health provider ornot you don’t seem toCare about building new relationships with new clients. Horrible customer service. Not exactly the type ofplace that iswelcoming and makes you want togo there toassist with your mental health.… – show

  Called today for aDr note for work (mental health day). Janna, office support specialist answered and Irequested that she put myemail and phone number onmy profile. She questioned mewhy she needed toenterin. Idon't feel that while trying toreach out topeople who are suppose tohelp should question apatient's request especially asimple request toupdate orenter myinfo into mypatient profile. Iwas already having abadday. I'm ina very bad place mentally prior tothis encounter and this customer service experience was not what Iexpected from this business. Please remember that these patients depend onthese “processionals” tomake life easier not get attitudes onthe phone tomake your day worse. Sounds tome asthis last only comes towork toget paid and leave, justsad.… – show

  I've been going toNew Beginnings over adecade for therapy and prescriptions. Iwas recently notified they could not refill myprescription because Ihaven't been inthe office in8months for ameeting. Well COVID started 8months ago and has stopped people from doing alot including mental health visits!I was told bythe pharmacy doc that Icouldn't betrusted tostay the course because Icould not doregular visits and Iwon't because ofCOVID. Tome it's silly tostill have acopay of$50for aphone call orvideo conference for the same medicine I've been onfor over ayear. Sad tosay this isthe last time Iwill recommend oruse New Beginnings for any services asthey seem toonly care about customers willing toline their pockets.… – show

  I loved seeing alisha saucedo. The front desk staff with payment was alittle tricky and didn’t ever seem tobe onthe same page. But really enjoy her asa therapist!

  The therapist wewere supposed tosee changed their schedule, and canceled all inoffice appointments. Wewere never notified. Hewas extremely late giving usa call byalmost 45minutes todo the video call. Then hewanted totalk tomy four-year-old oncamera byherself without any adults around. Itold him that she would not dothat because she isvery scared ofnew people, itdidn't matter what Isaid. Wewere using our playroom todo the video call somy youngest could stay inthe front room. Wehad picked upthe room, ithad looked really good for itbeing aplayroom, and hesaid itwas dirty and itwas clutter and hejust would not stop, but yet all hecould see was just asmall portion ofthe room and what hesaw was not cluttered. After Icut services, Icancelled her next appointment the therapist, had the audacity tocontinuously call meNon-Stop for noreason. Itgot tothe point Ihad tocall the office and tell them either itstops orI'm going toput harassment charges onhim.… – show

  Missed anappointment due toinfluenzaB. Was told tomake anappointment for refills. Therapist refused despite office policies. The meds are for aminor that has been onthis same medication for atleast 2years. Nothingnew! Very unprofessional! Reporting them into myinsurance.

  Friendly place were you know your information isheld instrict confidence. Therapist are different soif your not comfortable with the one you have you can try adifferent one based onyour personality.

  This place makes mesad. Making anappointment only guarantees you about a50/50chance ofseeing someone. Today Iwent infor anappointment 5minutes early, waited for 20minutes and was told bythe receptionist “we won't beable tosee you because you were late” Iexplained Iwas clearly not late and the receptionist says verbatim “I know you were here but she's already made upher mind and Idon't want tofight withher.” Terrible experience almost every time. Still have noheard back.
