@Will_Richmond

Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing.

A lot was going on four years ago so you may have forgotten that was the year Rhode Islanders voted to remove the phrase "Providence Plantations" from state property.

You also may not know that while the phrase has been covered up with decals or plaques it still appears in some places to this day. But that's about to change.

Patrick has the details on what's changing, where the phrase will continue to exist and the cost to make this happen.

• If you think the General Assembly can get crazy at times, it's nothing compared to 100 years ago.

• Do you have a family of picky eaters? One kids what chicken fingers, another pizza. You're sick of both and want raw oysters. A new place in Narragansett has you covered. Journal food and dining editor Gail Ciampa takes a trip to check out Boon Street Market, which offers multiple restaurants under one roof and a lot more.

If a trip to Narragansett isn't in the works, East Providence eateries are offering up deals this week as the city celebrates its first Restaurant Week. Gail has a look at 11 options that will have you covered all day long.

• Do you have the day off today? Maybe heading out on a boat is in order. The Journal's Jack Perry explains how you can hit the water even if you don't own a boat.
