Good morning, I'm Will Richmond at The Providence Journal and this is the Daily Briefing.
A lot was going on four years ago so you may have forgotten that was the year Rhode Islanders voted to remove the phrase "Providence Plantations" from state property.
You also may not know that while the phrase has been covered up with decals or plaques it still appears in some places to this day. But that's about to change.

Patrick has the details on what's changing, where the phrase will continue to exist and the cost to make this happen.
• If you think the General Assembly can get crazy at times, it's nothing compared to 100 years ago.
